Note:
This show has been seeded before but not this length and quality as a combination of two really nice sounding masters (one monophonic and the other a more edited stereo recording). The previous share of this was monophonic and also much more edited and lower quality. The splices between these master sources are almost entirely during the tuning and talk between songs, with the exception of a little more than a minute during Ezy Rider. I received this version in a CD trade complete with the splices but cleaned it all up a lot by doing level adjustments and gradual pans between the segments to make the transitions much less obvious. I've listened to it all very closely and am very happy with how it turned out.

This was borrowed from Crosstown torrents by a friend that sent it this way, and is a merge of the first (rubber dubber lp) and third source(tape), with real stereo separation. Nothing on the tracker, thank you to the original uploaders, the original fellow who did the work, and everyone else. Enjoy! as the lp titel said, this is a real keeper. Jazamo Notes & Fixes 10/18/2014:
Set-1 seems complete, but Set-2 might be missing a song or two. Overall there were many Volume Fluctuations to Set-1, and Set-2 was recorded too hot. I have adjusted the Volume overall for more consistant sound. Track 1-01 cut in abruptly, I removed -.05 seconds to smooth show intro. Track 1-05 has a click rhythm which might sound like static to some, but its not. Track 1-11 had fade-Out-> Fade-In at the end applause, I fixed that. Added fade outs to ends of sets Track 1-12 and 2-10. Finally the Jan 2007 Dime upload of the song "Sunshine Sunshine" had numerous dropouts in source file making it unlistenable. The original seeder then re-upped the entire set with the track fixed but had not been reposted in dime since 2007. I didn't think I should hold back this "Diamonds In The Rough" show any longer so I have deleted the damaged track from my fixed set.

Here's a great James Taylor show performing Solo in Cambridge Massachusetts in early 1970. Through the 2 sets James is loose, funny, and gives a story tellers background to many of the songs to a loving audience glued to his every word. The Original 2007 file set suffered from Volume Fluctuations, 1 damaged track, and cuts. I have Fixed and cleaned up the whole show to improve the overall listening experience. The show is Sound Board sourced and contains some tape hiss (Hear Samples). Many thanks to the original seeder Jitters. A great document of early James "Diamonds In The Rough", as always your comments are Appreciated!

The is from the “Retrorock” Radio Broadcast which aired in the early '80's.
The Radio Show's tag was “putting the present into perspective” so it includes the songs included here plus host Meg Griffin informing us of a little of what TR was up to at the time. Not much actual information, but the songs are fantastic.  Made from the transcript LP on a great turntable > DAT > CD (with digital editing by Sandra Winters to rid the CD of clicks and pops). This is sourced from a Bubnick CDR, one of the few where sticking a label on it didn't warp the disc enough to ruin it.

The band intro after 'Night Life' is slighly cut, but that's how I got it.

I've found this on the net, but tracks were not splitted correctly, so I cut them right in Audacity and fixed SBEs using Trader's Little Helper.

It is a very good quality soundboard recording, although the keyboards seem to be mixed higher than any other instrument (it's possible that the source of this recording was a monitor mix for the keyboard player).

The setlist features two rare tracks: 'Take A Little Pain' and 'Rock N' Roll Widow', which weren't performed regularly during those early days. The latter was later recorded for the 'Private Dancer' album and it could be found on the B-side of a 'What's Love Got To Do With It' single. It is worth noting as well that 'Help!' has a guitar solo instead of a sax solo.

Tina also admitted having a cold that evening after the first two songs, but you can't quite notice it during the show.

Personal note:
A great show in near perfect quality (audio). This was at the benefit festival for Greenpeace: "Soundwaves for Greenpeace". Some of the best classic Cure songs are played and the show is very energetic. 'Pornography' sends shivers down your spine. Robert's hair was at its best these days ;)

Quality:
AUDIO: Near perfect. One of the better audience recordings I have. Full show (besides the 'Relax'- intro)
VIDEO: Definitely a VHS rip. Quality is pretty good for an old VHS tape.
The audio is a bit distorted on the low notes, but good to listen to.
The vocals are very clear.
Sadly the last 2 songs (the best of the show) are missing.
Also 'Shake Dog Shake/Play for Today/A Strange Day/A Forest' are cut.
The perfect audio-version makes up for that. According to cure-concerts.de this was shot with a 'Ferguson' camera. All songs are chaptered.

Great soundboard recording, taken from 'Radio Clyde'. Excellent 50 minutes stereo recording with great versions! As a bonus, a nice recording is added, taken from BBC Radio 2. This part lasts 22 minutes and includes interviews with facts about the album, the band, the tour and acoustic songs. Very interesting CD, highly recommendable!

DVD-Video containing one of the first performances that Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris did together to promote their new CD All the roadrunning. This was actually recorded and broadcasted on the day of the release of their new duet album. It's an early morning show, recorded from digital cable TV, so good picture and sound quality.Very interesting interview!! and of course the five live tracks are nice to hear. Played by a small band: Mark Knopfler, Emmylou Harris, Richard Bennett and Glenn Worf. Total length of this DVD is about 40 minutes.
